The Stirling Observer reported last week the Wilkies department store on King Street was shutting down. This follows announcements from other stores such as Homebase, The Boozy Cow, and Mr Simms Sweet Shop they would be closing their doors.

Concerning to hear the news about Bannockburn Post Office in Bannockburn, faced with closure after the sub-postmaster announced his retirement this week.

A busy recess!

Tomorrow, I return to Parliament with my colleague MPs after what has been an eventful recess!

Alongside my regular surgeries and street surgeries, I've had a great time getting out to the rural communities and meeting locals and businesses to hear their views and concerns.

Save Aberfoyle GP Services

NHS Forth Valley have announced that they intend to withdraw funding for a salaried GP position at Aberfoyle and Buchlyvie GP practice. This will further reduce the availability of the GP at Aberfoyle.
