My comments on the suspension of Parliament

The Prime Minister has asked the Queen to prorogue Parliament, marking the long-overdue end of this session of parliament. It’s an interesting fact that this sitting has been the longest since the “Long Parliament” of the English Civil War.

Glasgow chosen as UK host city for major UN climate change conference

Stirling’s MP, Stephen Kerr, has welcomed the news that Glasgow has been chosen as the UK city to host the UN Climate Change conference, COP26, in 2020. Should the UK Governments bid to host the conference be successful then this vitally important conference will take place in Glasgow.

New Bannockburn Post Office opening

Bannockburn Post Office will close on Wednesday 7th August, with the current sub-postmaster taking a well-earned retirement.

The new Post Office in Jintz Express (17 Quakerfield, Bannockburn, Stirling FK7 8JA) will open on 8th August.

MP Welcomes improvements in Firefighter crewing figures
