Stephen Kerr MP visited Cambusbarron Primary School last week to meet the winner of the 2018 Christmas Card competition.
As usual it was a difficult choice but Stephen picked the card from P6 Pupil Justine Beveridge that showed the Wallace Monument in silhouette against a winter backdrop.
The pupils in the P6 class each submitted an entry and Stephen took the opportunity to thank them all as well as meeting Justine and the class teacher Mrs Ferns.
Stephen presented Justine with a voucher donated by local shop’ The Toy Hub’ for use at either their Dunblane or Bridge of Allan stores.
The costs associated with producing and sending the card were covered by local businesses & Stirling University who sponsored the competition.
( Dron and Dickson, WH Smith, The Toy Hub, University of Stirling, United Auctions, Robertson Group)
The local charity that will benefit from a donation linked to the cards being sent is ‘Start Up Stirling’.
Stephen Kerr said :-
I'd like to thank all the young students who took the time to send in an entry. It was a difficult choice as always but Justine is the deserved winner for her design with the Wallace Monument, which of course is celebrating its 150th anniversary. Well done to Justine- it'll now be on the mantlepieces of MPs across the country including Prime Minister Theresa May.
