Older people with Dementia joined volunteers, young students, and local MP Stephen Kerr in a Dementia Memory Café at the Braeport Centre, Dunblane.
The Memory Café model has been widely praised for connecting people with dementia to younger people, who connect and learn from each other. In Dunblane, the weekly event includes exercises to keep the body healthy and strong, as well as the tea, cake, and often music.
The café opens from 2-4pm in the Braeport Centre every Wednesday, and all are welcome for some tea and some socialising.
Stephen Kerr MP said:
"The team at the Braeport Centre deserve a lot of credit for their excellent work every week in bringing together local people for this really special event.
They’d love to see more people attending so please do consider going along with an elderly relative."
