One of my favourite jobs as MP is to get out into Stirling Constituency, to meet people, businesses, organisations, and institutions. By hearing from these groups, I can best serve Stirling as the MP, and bring Stirling's case to Westminster.
Fantastic to visit the Hydroelectricity project at Callander, to see the one of the first community-run hydro plants in the UK! Frank Park and Paul Prescott from the trust gave me a tour of the facilities.
A fantastically interesting visit to the Cononish Gold Mine at Tyndrum, which right now contains up to £200 million worth of gold! Thank you to Scotgold's Chris Sangster and local Cllr Jeremy McDonald for showing me around.
Stirling MP Stephen Kerr has this week hit out at the state of the area's play parks. He wants more to be done to stamp out antisocial behaviour in play areas and has called for additional spending on play equipment.
On Friday, I met with International students from across the world at the International Student centre at the University of Stirling, to hear their stories of how they gained visas to study in the UK and how they've found the City of Stirling. It was great to hear from Afraz, Yasamin, and Thais o
