4. Make Stirling a Connected Constituency

Many people in rural Stirling have trouble with slow, ineffective broadband. This makes it difficult to work and live in rural areas, which in turn puts a stopper on growth in these areas.

Together with Minister Matt Hancock, I am working to spread faster broadband speeds across Stirling. I have also met with providers EE, BT, and Briskona, so I knows exactly what needs to be worked on in order to give people in rural areas superfast broadband.

Likewise, 4G is slow or non-existent for many people living in rural areas.

Community Broadband debate!

Today, I called my first Adjournment debate, giving me the opportunity to set out my case in full for easier access to Community Broadband for Scotland's communities.

Meeting with Briskona Broadband

Finding out more about the Wireless Broadband Service being offered by Briskona, at one of their installations north of Stirling.

Briskona are continuing to extend their network into Rural Stirling, giving people in rural areas the opportunity to access faster broadband.

Getting Connected- Broadband in Scotland

One of the most important problems we face and a priority for me is the ongoing difficulties many of our communities face as a result of an inadequate Broadband connection.
